Follow my book blog Friday is a weekly meme where you go around and meet other bloggers and follow each other, hosted by Parajunkee’s View. This weeks question is: “Do you judge a book by its cover?“ Yes, I’m afraid I do. I can’t help that I love pretty covers. But I mean come on. The cover is just another way to market a book, and for many people it is a factor in why they might pick up a book. Good for those who buy without judging, that’s awesome. Take Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck for example. I love felines…. Read more »

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy for Books, a way to find new bloggers and friends, get to know each other. “Since today is April Fool’s day in the USA, what is the best prank you have ever played on someone, OR that someone has played on you?” I’ve never really played pranks on people, and while I don’t remember them, I’m fairly certain people have played pranks on me. I used to be pretty gullible. Still am sometimes. Follow my book blog Friday is a weekly meme where you go around and meet other bloggers and follow each… Read more »

Follow my book blog Friday is a weekly meme where you go around and meet other bloggers and follow each other, hosted by Parajunkee’s View. This weeks question is: “Q: Inspired by the inane twitter trend of #100factsaboutme, give us five BOOK RELATED silly facts about you.” Hmmmmm, let’s see. 1. My first is the same as one of Parajunkee’s, in that my own physical TBR pile is also 100+ books, and yet just today I bought five more home from the bookstore. No wait, six. Nearly $80 spent today…2. I do find it harder to read at home, when I have… Read more »

Follow my book blog Friday is a weekly meme where you go around and meet other bloggers and follow each other, hosted by Parajunkee’s View. This weeks question is: “How did you come up with your blog name?” Well, my username for the website MyAnimeList had been starrysky for most of the last year, and I figured I’d just use it for my blog name as well. I like the image of a sky filled with stars. Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy for Books, a way to find new bloggers and friends, get to know each other! Here’s… Read more »

Follow my book blog Friday is a weekly meme where you go around and meet other bloggers and follow each other, hosted by Parajunkee’s View. This weeks question is: Q. Just like Ashley said (love it) “Ashley the girl…” who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger? I’m Chelsey, the girl. Working full time at the moment, but I plan to go back and finish school, in accounting. The set rules fit my nature so well, and will give me an outlet for any OCD tendencies I have. 🙂 Obviously I love reading, otherwise I wouldn’t be doing… Read more »

Follow my book blog Friday is a weekly meme where you go around and meet other bloggers and follow each other, hosted by Parajunkee’s View. This weeks question is: “What embarrassing thing have you done on cold medicine?” Cold medicine doesn’t seem to affect me the way it does some people. Unless it’s the kind that makes you drowsy, and then I just make typos. But other than that nothing embarrasing has ever happened to me with cold medicine in my system. Q. Share your current fav television show! Tell us a bit about it… I actually like quite a few shows right now. Castle, where author Rick Castle trails Detective Cate Beckett on her cases for writing inspiration; Grey’s Anatomy, who doesn’t know about that show? Private Practice, the Addison Montgomery spin-off of Grey’s Anatomy. Glee is freaking awesome. Bones, I looooove Seeley Booth. I also like the new show Off the Map, by the same creators of Grey’s Anatomy, only set down in a clinic in the South American jungle. “Do you ever wish you would have named your… Read more »

Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted, as you can see, by Parajunkee. The question for this week is: If you are a fan of Science Fiction what is your favorite book? If you haven’t read Science Fiction before…any inkling to? Anything catch your eye? I love the Ender series by Orson Scott Card. Ender’s Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, and Ender in Exile are the only ones I’ve read so far. I also really liked Building Harlequin’s Moon by Larry Niven and Brenda Cooper. I haven’t read very much in the Science Fiction genre, but what I have read I… Read more »

Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted, as you can see, by Parajunkee. What is your favorite romance hero-type? Stereotype wise. Do you like the strong silent type or the brute macho man? A little of both really. I like the characters like Daemon and Lucivar from The Black Jewels Trilogy, or Joscelin from the Kushiel books. Adam Hauptman from the Mercy Thompson series. Charles from the Alpha and Omega series. All very strong men with the capacity for sensitivity and vulnerability.  Hosted by Crazy for Books! “Tell us about one of your posts from this week and give us a… Read more »

Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted, as you can see, by Parajunkee.Today’s Question: What is the book you are currently ‘pushing’? (Pushing mean trying to get people to read it)  It’s not a YA read, but I must say I think people should try The Black Jewels series by Anne Bishop. My absolute favorite series of all time. The first book is Daughter of the Blood, then Heir to the Shadows, and then Queen of the Darkness. And there are even more books after that! If you’re interested in knowing the order for the whole series just email me!… Read more »
