October TBR {Halloween!}

September 30, 2012 monthly tbr pile 8

I know it isn’t technically Halloween yet, but it’s the month of Halloween, and I love this month so much! I didn’t get to it in time last year, but this year I’ve planned some themed reading. I’ll be aiming for thirteen books that are related to Halloween by theme. Here they are!

Witches
Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr
Under My Hat edited by Strahan
Witch Song by Amber Argyle
Demons
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
Misfit by Jon Skovron
Soul Thief by Jana Oliver
Zombies
Shadows by Ilsa J. Bick
Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard
The Forests of Hands & Teeth by Carrie Ryan
Ghosts
Body & Soul by Stacey Kade
The Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake
Haunting Violet by Alyxandra Harvey
And the lone Vampire book!
Drink, Slay, Love by Sarah Beth Durst

So excited to finally read all of these books! A few I’ve had for a while, weeks or months, and others I only recently acquired. And my goal is to get reviews posted for all of them in October as well, so there’s something to look forward to!

Happy month of Halloween everyone! 🙂

I have Forest of Hands and Teeth on my shelf thats been there for so long. Maybe halloween is the perfect time to read it! Great collection of books! I really want to read Misfit as well 🙂

These all look so good! I can recommend The Forest of Hands and Teeth and Haunting Violet– and Tithe, your currently reading– that is an awesome book, and surprisingly creepy for a “fairy story”. Happy Halloween (reading).
