October TBR {Halloween!}

I know it isn’t technically Halloween yet, but it’s the month of Halloween, and I love this month so much! I didn’t get to it in time last year, but this year I’ve planned some themed reading. I’ll be aiming for thirteen books that are related to Halloween by theme. Here they are!

Witches
Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr
Under My Hat edited by Strahan
Witch Song by Amber Argyle
Demons
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
Misfit by Jon Skovron
Soul Thief by Jana Oliver
Zombies
Shadows by Ilsa J. Bick
Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard
The Forests of Hands & Teeth by Carrie Ryan
Ghosts
Body & Soul by Stacey Kade
The Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake
Haunting Violet by Alyxandra Harvey
And the lone Vampire book!
Drink, Slay, Love by Sarah Beth Durst

So excited to finally read all of these books! A few I’ve had for a while, weeks or months, and others I only recently acquired. And my goal is to get reviews posted for all of them in October as well, so there’s something to look forward to!

Happy month of Halloween everyone! πŸ™‚

May 2012 TBR Pile

Β It’s already the fifth month of this year! Where has time gone? It’s just flying by at the speed of light. Anyways, this month is going to be an awesome month. So many great books are coming out, a couple of which I plan to read immediately, and others of which will probably wait a while. I don’t have money to buy all of them unfortunately. πŸ™ But here is what I plan on reading this month!

My last book of April is 172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad, and I’ve decided to read Grave Mercy next because I’m hearing awesome things about it, and Bekka at Pretty Deadly Reviews suggested reading it as soon as possible. That may change though because both Insurgent and Wentworth Hall come out on May 1st and I have them pre-ordered at my local bookstore. I may resort to a coin toss or Random.org to tell me which to read first.

I’m also really excited for Revived, and would you look at that cover?! It’s a beautiful book. These last three books are ones I’ve had on my shelf for a while, and I’m trying to do a mix of both brand new and somewhat older books each month. Not that they’re really old, they were all only released last year. I’d like to finally get around to them though because they were all ones I’d been eagerly anticipating before they released.

So that’s the official list of what I plan to read for next month. I have, however, signed up for Bout of Books 4.0, which is happening between May 14th and 20th. So I may finish all 8 books ahead of time and have time for an extra book or two. I won’t decide now which ones those will be though, I’ll just pick randomly when that time comes!

April TBR Pile

Since we’re already nearly a week into April, this months TBR only has six books. So here’s what I’ll be reading and reviewing this month.

Have any of you read these yet? If you have, let me know what you think, or link me to your review!

October Wrap Up + November TBR Pile

Well for October I read a good number of books, most of which though ended up not being on my planned TBR list for the month. Oops! Ah well, I’m not always good at sticking to those. September Wrap Up + October TBR Pile

This month was definitely the month of less posting, like I thought it would be. That personal problem I mentioned in the last wrap up is still being drawn out, but life is feeling more normal even so. I have no idea when it’ll be resolved, but since it’s not on my mind quite so much I think my blogging and reading will suffer less from it from now on, hopefully.

Breadcrumbs by Anne Ursu (review)
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (review)

October TBR Pile

Here is what I plan on trying to get to in October. This may change though depending on mood, or tour books that come in and must move to the top of the pile. It’ll be interesting to see how many in the picture I’ll have read by time I do the October wrap up.

Let me know which ones you’ve enjoyed! I don’t know what to pick next after finishing up The Unwanteds so any suggestions are welcome!
