In My Mailbox {54}

I actually bought quite a few books while I was away during the month I didn’t really blog any, so I’m breaking them up over various IMM posts, while also still showing anything I got in the current week.

In My Mailbox {52}

This is a small amount of books for me to amass over the last few weeks, but I’m trying to hold back since I’ll be going to Portland in 2 weeks. I’ll get to visit my favorite bookstore Powell’s City of Books! I already have a gift card from my birthday in April I’ve been saving, plus some books I’ll be selling. Can’t wait for that. So I probably won’t have another IMM until August. On to the books.

Flirting in Italian by Lauren Henderson
Arise by Tara Hudson
Dreamless by Josephine Angelini
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund {my review}
The Lost Code by Kevin Emerson

My Book Haul for the Week!

I usually get this out on Saturday’s, but after that What’s Next post, since Grave Mercy had the most votes I started it Friday and really got into it yesterday. When I got home from work I pretty much did nothing but read until it was time for bed. I’m hoping to finish today and post my review tomorrow. Bitterblue will be next since it was also voted for a lot!

Anyways, I only bought two physical books this week, so I’ll also highlight ebooks I’ve gotten over the last few weeks that I always forget to mention in these posts. I don’t know when I’ll get to those though, since I usually prefer to read print books. But I’ll read the ebooks eventually!

Book Haul for the Week!

I got a lot of great books I’m excited for this week! A few period books, two that remind me somewhat of Downton Abbey (Yay!), and then Gilt, with Henry VIII. I really need to cut back though on the book buying for a while… especially since I have to go to the dentist here soon.

To Marry an English Lord by Gail McCall & Carol McD. Wallace
Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier
Fated by Alyson Noel
Immortal City by Scott Speer

Sirenz Back in Fashion by Charlotte Bennardo & Natalie Zaman
For the blog tour, thanks Charlotte!
The House at Tyneford by Natasha Solomons
The House at Riverton by Kate Morton
Gilt by Katherine Longshore

And then because it’s just so adorable, here is a screen capture from one of the Japanese anime shows I’m watching, Acchi Kocchi.

Books That I Bought This Week!

Small haul this week, which is good for my bookshelves. Definitely excited to get to these books, plus the copy of Emma now matches my Puffin copy of Pride and Prejuce! I’m hoping Puffin decides to do Sense & Sensibility, Persuasion, and Northanger Abbey in this same theme of design.

Signed copy of Sirenz by Charlotte Bennardo & Natalie Zaman – Thanks Charlotte!
I’ve joined the blog tour for book two Sirenz Back in Fasion, which will be stopping by on July 1st!
Tempest Rising by Tracy Deebs
I had an ARC of this I won ages and ages ago, but never got around to it. Now that it’s available in paperback though I thought I’d just buy it.
Emma by Jane Austen
The only Jane Austen novel I’ve actually read is Pride and Prejudice, back in fifth grade. I hope to read Emma this summer!

What did you guys get this week? Let me know!

Book Haul – Books That I Bought This Week!

This last week or two I’ve discovered that between all three of the bookstores in my area, including two in the next town 7 miles away, are getting much better about having newer releases available. This is awesome, but my wallet can’t handle it! Here’s what I bought, plus one book for review.

Books That I Bought This Week!

Four of these I actually just bought tonight, and one last week. I went to the bookstore tonight to see if they had Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris, because I absolutely loved it so much when I read the ARC that I needed a finished copy on my shelf too. Well, I found Unraveling, as well as two other books that had just been released as well! Usually half the time I go to this particular bookstore looking for something specific I end up disappointed. But not this time!

So excited for all of these, wish I could dig into all of them at once! It’ll be tough figuring out which I want to read first after I finish Sweet Venom. If you have any suggestions or have a particular book you’d like to see a review of soon from this pile just let me know!

I traded for these back in February, before my extended “break.”
